This Small Charity Week (23 – 28 June), Teen Action is proud to join a national celebration of the vital role small charities play in communities across the UK. This year’s campaign shines a spotlight on financial resilience, recognising the incredible efforts of small charities to keep delivering, even as costs rise and funding falls.
Small Charity Week highlights the essential work of the UK’s small charity sector, which supports millions of people and communities every day. Resilient charities create stronger communities, but many are now under more pressure than ever.
In London, small charities like Teen Action play a crucial role in supporting the diverse tapestry of our capital; supporting marginalised groups to have equal access to education and opportunities.
Teen Action helps marginlaised young women by supporting them to access training, personal developement and wellbeing opportunities on their journeys to adulthood, employment and idependent living.
We are proud to be part of this collective effort to recognise the power of small charities in our local communities. Small Charity Week is not only a chance to say thank you but also an opportunity to raise awareness of the importance of supporting local charities through donations, fundraising, and volunteering. With many small charities facing the risk of closure, celebrating this week is more vital than ever.
Teen Action are taking part in the Big Give campaign to raise £20,000 in just 1 week!
These funds will be used to support 150+ minoritised young women through community outreach and quality youth work; forming a trusted & safe space, reducing inequalities, and realising potential. Donations to our campaign will be generously matched by Global’s Make Some Noise during the campaign to make double the difference in supporting young women.
When we come together, we create lasting change. Supporting small charities strengthens the entire charity ecosystem, driving economic growth, empowering local communities, and ensuring specialist causes receive the attention they need. Small charities complement the work of larger organisations, filling crucial gaps and delivering targeted, life-changing support.
